Janis Zakis

🎓 Resume
Janis obtained his BSc in Chemical Technology at the Riga Technical University, Latvia, in 2018. Afterwards Janis enrolled in the Erasmus+ traineeship program and spent two months in Prof. Waldvogel group at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany, learning the use of electrochemistry in organic synthesis. In 2020 Janis graduated with a MSc in Chemical Technology from Riga Technical University. His MSc project focused on the investigation and the use of azido-tetrazolo equilibrium in purine derivative synthesis, under the supervision of Prof. M. Turks and Dr. I. Novosjolova.
In his free time Janis enjoys going on hikes, drawing and spending time outdoors.
