This afternoon, the consortium held the first Annual Meeting of the project.
Due to Covid-related uncertainties and travel limitations, we decided early on to make this meeting virtual; but we are planning to organise an in-person meeting whenever possible and safe.
Nevertheless, this afternoon was rich in exchanges and scientific discussions! 9 of our ESRs (the most “senior” ones) presented their initial work to the consortium and all members joined to ask questions, comment on the work or make suggestions. Overall, this event illustrated brilliantly the strength of ITNs and the interest of collaborative research to push scientific progress.
Congratulations to our hard-working ESRs, who made this event a success!
While we couldn’t take a proper group picture, a few of us are visible on the screenshot below (some of us were hiding on page 2 of the Zoom interface…):
This event also marks the start of a week of lectures, as our first CHAIR Summer School starts tomorrow. Over the next three days, we are expecting talks from 9 experts of C-H Activation from all over the world!
Finally, we will have the opportunity to meet with our EU Project Officer on Friday, to evaluate our work and progress so far. This is really important as it will help us make sure we are heading in the right direction to ensure the overall success of the project.
